How does a person feel anything but jazzed up at a concert packed with patriotic sing-along songs and marches, much less almost doze off?! My kid managed to last night! I assume its due to her crazy busy summer schedule, one we wouldn't trade for anything, but it is taking a toll on her sleep. Dance and theater multiple days a week drain a little body, and she's not been sleeping well. She has bags under her eyes the likes of which I haven't seen since last February when she was in The Wizard of Oz and we went through tech week and four performances!

As a precaution, last night we got to use a gift we (she) received from her Aunt Mica (YLEO family expert) and Grandma (YLEO matriarch), a special nighttime oil from Young Living's KidScents kit, SleepIze. It's a blend of soothing and relaxing oils diluted in a sensitive-skin-safe coconut oil base. It smells heavenly!

In addition to SleepyIze, the kit contains other oil blends with equally fun, easy to recognize names like GeneYus (for focus and concentration, perfect for a little actress learning songs and lines, or come school time for those dreaded multiplication facts), Owie, BiteBuster (I have a feeling we'll use this one a lot if she continues to sneak out of the house without peppermint!), TummyGize (can you say Halloween overdose?), and Sniffle-Ease.

Oil living is a lifestyle, a way to supplement without chemicals and drugs. If she gets into these, they WON'T HURT HER. It makes me feel so much better knowing that she can test her independence, treat herself when she feels like she needs to, and it won't result in a trip to the ER or worse. She's 8, almost 9, and feels like when she gets a scrap, or has a tummy ache, she wants to be able to help herself. And with oils, she can to some extent. She always has adult supervision, but when I put the drop in her little hand, she can rub it on her tummy, her owie, her feet, and feel like she's doing something for herself to help herself. And she's learning.

Safe, healthy, helpful, chemical free....what's not to love.
